Rod Buzzard - Para Church Ministries

Rod Buzzard is an overseer of Para Church Ministries. He found the Light in Jesus Christ as a "hippie" teenager. One night when asked by a friend to stay for an all night prayer meeting, Rod felt the darkness of his rebellion and selfishness and sensed his need to be lifted out of the overwhelming darkness. In that moment, the image of Jesus Christ dying on the cross and saying, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" came into Rod's mind. "I knew that Jesus was there letting me know that He loved me and had forgiven me.” That personal awareness of His presence, love and forgiveness is the light that Rod needed and all people need. He asked the Lord to forgive him and told Him he wanted to follow Him. Instantly, a peace beyond description filled his heart and he saw light where there was darkness and acceptance from the Lord. Rod felt the call of God and has been a pastor, lecturer, camp director, and missionary over the last 38 years.
